Rabbitohs interested in dumped
Warriors forward

South Sydney has emerged as the leading contendor to sign dumped Warriors forward Ali Lauiti'iti.

The Rabbitohs, who are currently battling an injury crisis, have confirmed they are one of a number of Australian clubs who have offered Lauiti'iti a contract.

It?s believed that up to a dozen clubs, both in Australia and England, are chasing the former Second Rower of the Year?s signature.

The Warriors confirmed Lauiti'iti had been released from his contract with the club yesterday.

Lauiti'iti is to meet with his management this afternoon and discuss the offers on the table. An announcement is expected within the next 48 hours.

The Lauiti'iti sacking comes as the Warriors battle a form loss that has seen them win just one match in the first six rounds of the competition.

Rumours that coach Daniel Anderson would be leaving the club have been denied this morning.

?I haven't spoken to anyone from any other club," Anderson told The Sunday News.

"I don't know anything about it. I'll even do a polygraph test - I haven't spoken to anyone. "I'm contracted to the Warriors and have no intention of leaving.

"I'm very determined to bring us out of the ugly patch we're going through."

The ugly patch Anderson refers to includes the poor form of halfback Stacey Jones, who was left out of the New Zealand test side for Friday night?s match with Australia.

Other clubs rumoured to be interested in signing Lauiti'iti are the Sydney Roosters and defending premiers Penrith, who have one of the best forward packs in the competition.
