The Canberra Raiders have today announced the appointment of former Hull Kingston Rovers Coach Justin Morgan as Assistant Coach for the next two seasons.

Morgan will replace current NRL Assistant Coach Quentin Pongia and will join Andrew McFadden as NRL Assistant Coach to David Furner.

Morgan has Coached Hull Kingston Rovers since 2005, and helped the club gain promotion into the English Super League competition in 2007, where they currently compete.

He joined HKR in 2005 from Toulouse Olympique with whom he reached a Challenge Cup semi-final as Head Coach.

Morgan then led the Rovers into the Super League and has guided the side to a top-four finish, a Challenge Cup semi-final and a first ever play-off victory at Super League level in 2010 against Hull FC.

Raiders Coach David Furner said Morgan's appointment brings experience to the Raiders Coaching staff and said the club eagerly awaited his arrival for the commencement of the 2012 pre-season.
