Raiders team for Wests Tigers
clash

The Canberra Raiders have rushed leading prop Troy Thompson straight back into the starting team for Sunday?s vital clash against the in-form Wests Tigers at Canberra Stadium.

Thompson missed last weekend?s nail-biting loss to the Brisbane Broncos with a sternum injury, but will re-take his spot in the Raiders pack in place of suspended prop Ben Cross.

Cross today entered an early guilty plea for a grade 2 careless high-tackle, ruling him out of Sunday?s home match against the Tigers. Raiders winger Craig Frawley also entered an early guilty plea for a grade 1 dangerous throw, but is free to play this weekend.

The Raiders were forced to make two more changes because of injuries and will prepare with an 18-man squad.

Forwards Andrew Lomu and Michael Hodgson will be unavailable this week because of knee injuries. Hodgson is aiming to be back for the Round 23 match against South Sydney, while Lomu will miss between 2-4 weeks.

Forwards Kris Kahler and Jason Williams have been recalled to the first grade squad, while utility back Marshall Chalk returns to the top grade after making his comeback from a fractured jaw in Premier League on Sunday.
