Raiders to start season backing The Cancer Support Group

The Canberra Raiders will feature local charity The Cancer Support Group on the front of their jerseys for the beginning of the 2012 NRL season, as a means of showcasing their 20 year support for the local organisation.

The Cancer Support Group (Formerly the ACT-Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group) has been selected by Raiders Coach David Furner and the players to start the year on the playing strip, as the club continues their search for a new Major Sponsor.

Already a Patron of the Group, Furner has been involved with the CSG for over 15 years and said the work they do in the community is of the utmost importance and if the Raiders can help in the promotion of the work they do, they would.
