Redcliffe
Dolphins vs Wynnum Manly Seagulls Preview

WYNNUM MANLY v REDCLIFFE BMD Kougari Oval, Sunday April 23, 3.00pm. Referee: Brett Suttor

THE STORY: Wynnum Manly has made several changes from the squad announced earlier this week, looking for its first win of the year. Neil Wharton has brought in former Wakefield Trinity and Sydney Roosters player Albert Talipeau at hooker. He replaces injured Zac Chisholm. Former Kiwi winger Brian Jellick is also named to return from back injury.

THE STAT: Despite being bottom of the ladder, Wynnum Manly is the only team to beat Redcliffe in 2006. The Seagulls downed the Dolphins 20-10 at BMD Kougari Oval in the second-last week of pre-season trials. Aside from that Redcliffe has not lost a single game, trial or otherwise.

THE STAR: Redcliffe's Greg Bourke is just 16 points away from matching Damian Richters' all-time record of 1030 pts in the Wizard Cup. Bourke scored 24pts against Norths last week. He leads Burleigh's Reggie Cressbrook by 29 pts. Meanwhile, Steve Irwin may have been impressive in his comeback to Wizard Cup last week, but his two tries had plenty to do with playing alongside Tangi Ropati. Ropati has represented both Samoa and New Zealand Residents. He played with Marist Brothers Richmond last year and scored five tries in the first six rounds of Bartercard Cup
