Redcliffe vs Tweed Heads Preview

MARK Christensen has dislodged Matt Gruszka from the Redcliffe wing after two standout performances in the Mixwell Cup.

Having featured at the NRL level last year for South Sydney, Christensen has had a battle on his hands to secure a regular Queensland Wizard Cup spot.

Previously the Mackay-born flyer also featured in a NSWRL First Division grand final and a Charity Shield, having been with St George Illawarra before the Rabbitohs.

No other changes have been made to the Dolphins team which beat Ipswich 42-20 last weekend, with five-eighth Shane Perry escaping suspension for a careless high tackle.

Tweed Heads has also resisted change after a strong win against Souths Logan, retaining the same side as well as adding Scott Gray and Danny Maireroa to the bench.

Impressive in his debut last week, Kristin Green keeps a spot on the interchange.

Redcliffe currently stands in fifth place, but has one more game to its credit than the seventh-placed Seagulls. Aside from that the teams are split by very little.

Tweed averages 26.3 points in attack, while conceding 25.6 points per game. Meanwhile Redcliffe averages 30 points for and 28.6 against.

The referee at the Piggabeen Complex will be Shane Spicer.
