Robbo Reckons

From the penultimate round of fixtures (Do you like that big word I?m pretty impressed with myself) the best the Dolphins can look to is fourth spot and a home semi final against Toowoomba. But to be more than just passengers in the semi?s we will have to come to play. Against Toowoomba on the TV it just didn?t look like the Redcliffe team we all know and I think the score flattered us a bit. But in saying that we know we didn?t play well and to be in the contest up until the last ten minutes was encouraging. The lower grades continue to go along in their respective comps with reggies in second and colts in fourth. The colts pulled off what most people would call an upset when they beat Wests/Broncos colts at Purtell Park. Coach Craig Inge Inga, Ingle umm Trigger tipped CEO James Hinchey that it would be a good game and that we?d be in it with a big show. Well they were more than just in it well done boys. I hope the crowds get along to the Norths game which maybe the last home game for the season depending on other results. There is nothing better than playing in front of a big vocal Dolphin Crowd so grab a few mates and get along and cheer home the boys. Now another one from Geography Professor Shannon Fish, when talking to Ryan Cullen, Ryan told him how his girlfriend Amy was in Switzerland and Shannon replied she?d better watch out for all those Swedish men. Now Shannon I?m no Rhodes Scholar but even I know Swedish men are in Sweden and Swiss men are in Switzerland. Adam Starr season appears to over after suffering an eye socket injury against Toowoomba but he could always pick up an extra few bucks being a pirate seeing he is walking around with patch on his eye. And there is no truth to the rumour that his daughter Jade asked him if he was Captain Feathersword from the Wiggles. Cowboy Troy Lindsay becomes the first player in the ten year history or the Queensalnd Cup to chalk up 200 games what a great achievement for front rower. But props have it easy these days they only play half a game not like us tough as nails half backs who have to play 80 minutes every week. Of course I am only joking and looking at Cow?s stats for the last few games 60, 58, and 55 involvements. I?m sure he?s found a fountain of youth out on the farm. I believe he has signed on again for next year which would make it an amazing sixteen seasons playing senior footy for Redcliffe. But it?s funny when you look at Cows and Starry?s player profiles sheets they?ve handed from the last few years one year they are born 1973 then 1974 then 1975 then 1976.

Until next month Cheers Robbo Go the Dolphins
