Roosters knock Eels back to Earth

The Sydney Roosters have a recorded a massive 56-4 victory over the Parramatta Eels as they landed back to Earth after they were touted as a revived club following their Round 1 win over the Warriors.

In his long and proud career, Anthony Minichiello broke new ground at Allianz Stadium as he claimed his first career hat trick. Minichiello posted his first four-pointer early in the contest as Man of the Match, Mitchell Pearce crafted the play to perfection with Mitchell Aubusson. The Roosters led, 6-0 after 8 minutes.

Bashing forward Sam Moa was awarded his four-pointer just two minutes later as the Roosters remained ahead of the clock to lead 12-0 after 11 minutes.

The Eels looked to spark themselves back into the contest as they controlled the 10 minutes heading into half time. However, despite the swing of possession they managed just the one try in the match. Semi Radradra backed up his efforts in Round 1 as he barged through the Roosters defence to beat Roger Tuivasa-Sheck to the ball.
