Roosters name team to play
Bulldogs

Despite three consecutive losses, Roosters stars Craig Wing and Adrian Morley remain confident the club is close to stringing together a period of solid form heading into Friday night?s grand final replay against the Bulldogs.

The duo have been among the Roosters? best over the opening five competition rounds, and believe the new-look side is close to producing some solid performances on the field.

?I think a few good wins are just around the corner,? Morley said this morning.

?I think our attack will look after itself ? it?s improving week by week.

?But our defence is a concern, once we get that right I think we?ll be in a period of solid form.

?Once you regain that confidence, all the little things ? the bounces of the ball ? tend to go your way and you gain momentum.?

Wing, who last week expressed his desire to start for Australia at hooker next week amid reports he will again be used off the bench, said execution was letting the 2004 grand finalists down.

?The effort has been there, we are just doing silly little things that are costing us,? Wing said.

?If we can fix that up we?ll be OK ? nobody is panicking just yet.?

The players bonded over dinner last night at Circular Quay, where Stuart urged the players to remain loyal to each other and to the 2005 campaign.

?We?re a brand new team, we could take half a season to come together cohesively,? Stuart said.

?But this period is a character test for everyone at the club ? it?s something very few of the guys here have experienced.

?How they come through it as individuals and as a team will determine the course the latter half of our season will take.

?But I have the utmost faith in everyone here to pull through it ? I think we?ll have a quality side towards the back-end of the year.?
