Roosters notch up second win of season 2007

The Sydney Roosters have notched up their second win of the season, holding out a fast-finishing Gold Coast Titans outfit to win 24-18.

Captain Craig Fitzgibbon missed the kick from wide out, so the Roosters now led the game 10-0, where the score remained until half time.

Halfback Mitchell Pierce broke clean through the line, and found Fitzgibbon in support to score, and subsequently convert, the try under the posts. The afternoon ended prematurely for Fitzgibbon, however, who was forced from the field with a foot injury not long after scoring.

Following that Roosters try, the Titans roared to life, and Prince found Gavin Cooper running the angle towards the posts with what looked to be a forward pass but was KO
