Roosters overpower harmless Bulldogs

The Sydney Roosters have claimed a massive victory over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs with a 38-0 victory at Allianz Stadium in front of 22,552. The Roosters now have held a third side to nil in the past four games.

The story all week was about former Bulldog, Sonny Bill Williams and tonight he was involved with two tries. The story now shifts to the performance of the Bulldogs, who are now only 1 win from the past six matches.

The Roosters scored just the single try in the opening half of football through Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. James Maloney had a perfect night with the boot converting all his goals.

At half time the Roosters ahead with a late penalty goal, 8-0.

The points flowed thick and fast in the second half for the Sydney Roosters scoring 30 unanswered points. 
 
Sonny Bill Williams scored the first of his double in the 50th minute as the Roosters opened the Bulldogs defence with ease. Minutes later the Roosters attacked again with a running play which saw James Maloney break the defence and lay the platform for Daniel Mortimer to race in after 55 minutes. 
 
The man of the headlines, SBW claimed his second four-pointer in the 64th minute with a powerful charge through the Bulldogs defensive pack. The Roosters extended their lead with Maloney's conversion, 26-0. 
 
The Roosters secured the victory with two final tries in three minutes at the back end of the contest. Man of the match, James Maloney cleaned up a pin-point grubber kick from Jake Friend to add to his growing try-scoring tally. The final points of the tonight were awarded to Michael Jennings as he dived over in the corner. 
 
The Roosters put on a clinic in attack as the claimed a 38-0 victory over the Bulldogs. Questions will now be asked of Bulldogs head coach Des Hasler of what comes next from the boys from Belmore. 
 
Next week the Sydney Roosters open the gates of Allianz Stadium once again as they host the St. George Illawarra Dragons on Friday Night Football. Meanwhile the Bulldogs head south to Shark Stadium when they do battle with the struggling Cronulla Sharks.
