Roosters Return to Gosford

The Sydney Roosters round 22 game against the Newcastle Knights has been transferred from Aussie Stadium to the Bluetongue Central Coast Stadium in Gosford.

In what is becoming an annual event, the game is scheduled for a 3.00pm kick off on Sunday 6 August; the game has been moved in-line with NRL policy of propagating rugby league in regional centres.

Last season the club transferred its game against Canberra Raiders and recorded the largest crowd of the season on the Central Coast.

Roosters General Manager, Marketing & Media, Richard Fisk is confident of a large turn out.

?The Roosters have a large supporter base on the Central Coast, and by bringing the game closer to Newcastle territory, I look forward to seeing plenty of their fans on hand to watch the Roosters defend our undefeated record on the Central Coast.

?The fact that Channel 9 will televise the game on delayed coverage, highlights the importance of the clash.

?Sunday afternoon will certainly bring out the families and hopefully Anthony Minichiello will be back from injury so the fans will see 2 of the greatest modern day players in action with Andrew Johns facing off against Anthony Minichiello.

?The club will be conducting an open training session on the Friday before the game, enabling the younger fans in the area to get up close and personal to some of the game?s biggest names? he concluded.

Tickets are now on-sale at Ticketek.

More than 3,000 Roosters season ticket holders are tipped to make the trip to Gosford.
