Roosters side
named to face the Dragons

Sydney Roosters coach Ricky Stuart has named a powerhouse team intent on keeping their premiership hopes alive on Friday night against the in form Dragons at Wollongong.

Australian forward Mick Crocker is back on deck after serving a two match suspension, while regular five-eighth Jamie Soward will trade places with halfback Brett Finch in a bid to inspire a new attacking formation against a St George Illawarra team that knows how to score points.

Jason Cayless has not been named in the side due to a short four day turnaround between last Sunday's loss to Melbourne. Cayless will be fit to play Penrith the following week.

Young hooker Heath L?Estrange?s outstanding form over the past two months sees him push Craig Wing to the bench, while Chris Flannery has again been named to play his 100th first grade game after becoming a late withdrawal last week.

The importance of the clash is not lost on Flannery, who concedes the club will face a virtually impossible task to make the NRL finals if they don?t travel back up the Princes Highway with two competition points.

?Very much so, we are desperate for the points this week,? he says.

?It?s do or die for us I think ? if we lose it will be pretty hard to make the finals.

?We could be six points outside the eight, but we?re not thinking about that a great deal.

?We?re only focused on winning and I?m confident we can do that.?
