Sharks five-eighth Greg Bird, Roosters centre Justin Hodges and Dragons prop Jason Ryles face an anxious time today as they await whether or not they will be charged by the NRL judiciary.
Bird was reported for a head slam on Melbourne's Rodney Howe, Ryles was charged with a head butt on West's John Skandalis and Hodges caught the referee's attention for a high tackle on Parramatta fullback Brett Hodgson.
Meanwhile, Bulldogs forward Willie Mason looks set for an immediate recall to first grade after team mate Tony Grimaldi suffered a knee injury in the club's win over South Sydney at Telstra Stadium on Saturday night. Grimaldi, who will have further tests today, could be out for eight weeks after suffering medial ligament damage to his knee.
Mason was dropped by coach Steve Folkes for the opening round match and will come back into contention, along with Queensland lock Travis Norton.
