Round 22 charges

Five players have been charged following round 22 of the NRL with the injury ravaged Bulldogs being hit twice.

Matt Utai (Bulldogs) has been harged with grade four careless high tackle on the Newcastle Knights' Dustin Cooper. He will serve a two-game suspension with an early guilty plea. Teammate Daniel Irvine copped a grade one dangerous throw on the Newcastle Knights' Anthony Quinn but will escape suspension with an early guilty plea.

Clint Newton (Knights) was charged with grade one dangerous throw on the Canterbury Bulldogs' Cameron Phelps. He faces a one-game ban following carry over points from his heavy suspension last season.

Beau Scott of the Sharks was charged with a grade two contrary conduct on the Melbourne Storm's Cameron Smith and faces a two-game ban.

Raider Alan Tongue will escape punishment for a grade one careless high tackle on the Wests Tigers' Chris Heighington due to his good record.
