Round 23 charges

New Zealand Warriors hooker Monty Betham may have played his last game of the season after being charged by the NRL match review committee today.

Betham was slapped with a grade one dangerous throw following the Warriors' 22-10 loss at Melbourne last Saturday night. If he unsuccessfully fights the charge, the veteran utility will miss the Warriors' last two regular season games, but he will be banned for one match with an early plea.

In other judiciary news, Cronulla backrower Cameron Ciraldo faces a two game ban for a grade four careless high tackle on Sydney Roosters centre Ryan Cross. He will escape with a one match ban with an early plea.

Meanwhile, Manly's Steve Matai faces a one match ban for a grade one careless high tackle on Newcastle prop Craig Smith from the Knights' 22-14 win over the Sea Eagles.

And finally, Souths halfback Ben Walker has been charged with a grade one careless high tackle but will escape suspension.
