Round 25 moved back to Parramatta

The Pirtek Parramatta Eels are happy to announce that the scheduled Round 25 Monday night home game against the St George Illawarra Dragons at ANZ Stadium will be moved back to the team's spiritual home of Parramatta Stadium.

Eels Interim CEO Matt Phelan says the move has been several weeks in the making, with the negotiations made easier thanks to the cooperation of all parties involved including ANZ Stadium, Parramatta Stadium, the NRL and host broadcaster Fox Sports.

Phelan labels the move as one that will benefit Eels Members and provide a fitting venue for the final home game of 2013.

"This week is Member Appreciation Round at the Eels, and this venue change will let our Eels Members and fans enjoy the last home game of the season in the place where they feel most at home," Phelan said.

"This has been a tough season, and the support of our Eels Members has been incredible, so we hope to see a good turn out by the Blue and Gold Army as we say thank you for that."

"We've been working on the logistics of this move for a number of weeks now, and we're very grateful for the help ANZ Stadium has given us in making the switch relatively straightforward."

The Pirtek Parramatta Eels will be marking Member Appreciation Round with a Members' guard of honour at Parramatta Stadium, a Members' pre-game function, and with a tribute to Eels Members written by Parramatta great, Eric Grothe Snr.

Round 25 will also see the Eels don their 2013 Women in League jersey, a design that was manufactured and sold exclusively to 2013 Eels Members.
