Round 3 charges

Rabbitoh's custodian Adam MacDougall has taken a two-match ban through an early guilty plea to the NRL judiciary after being charged for a reckless high tackle.

Mad Dog decided against contesting the charge for his hit on Canberra halfback Lincoln Withers during Monday's loss to the Raiders. He will miss games against the Warriors at Ericsson Stadium this Sunday and the Knights at Gosford on April 10.

Withers suffered a broken nose after his head met with the forearms of MacDougall during the early stages of the game. He has been cleared of a fractured cheekbone but is still in doubt for the Raiders' home clash with St George Illawarra on Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Warriors Louis Anderson could also face some time opening Gatorade bottles for his team mates, after being charged twice by the judiciary following the loss to North Queensland on Sunday.

If he enters an early guilty plea to both offences - grade one striking and dangerous throw charges - he will miss just one match.

In other news, Andrew Johns and Matt Gidley will have fitness tests today for injuries that have been troubling the Newcastle pair. Johns has a buttock injury and Gidley a groin strain, with both battling the clock to take on the Cowboys.
