Reynolds Kicks Cowboys to loss

Last week, it was difficult dividing the player of the week points; few if any players deserved them. This week, we have the same dilemma but for an entirely different reason - in a game where most experts were expecting a thirty point (or more) thrashing, Cronulla stood up and showed that they have what it takes to have an impact on the 2004 Telstra Premiership.
The PotY points for this round were awarded to:
3. Brett Kimmorley - Laid on the first try with a perfect cut-out pass. Massively improved kicking game and never afraid to take on the line. Sharing the playmaking role with David Peachey is really strengthening his game.
2. Matthew Rieck - Far from the fumbling winger we're used to. Dazzled Luke Patten with his footwork and speed and had an otherwise safe game. Will 2004 be the year Riecky finally lives up to his potential?
1. Andrew Lomu - Round one was a disaster for Lomu, but he turned things around quickly. He was devastating with the ball in his hand.
