Rugby League Review April 2005 -
Out Now!

The April edition of Rugby League Review is out on Tuesday, April 5 at all newsagents. If you're a Rugby League fan, then you must get your hands on this wonderful publication. This is what's in store for this month's edition:

POLYNESIAN EXPLOSION

The game of Rugby League has changed in the past few years with many Pacific Islanders now playing the greatest game.

The trend is becoming something similar to the American Football where African-Americans dominate the game which was once played only by white players.

DRAGONS IN TURMOIL

You can't win a premiership in the first month of the season, but you can certainly lose one.

After a disastrous start to their 2005 campaign, St George Illawarra find themselves at the bottom of the table with an increasingly complex task of surging up the ladder and challenging for a top four position, let alone just making the semi-finals.

CROWDS ON THE RISE AND RISE

Crowds are up almost 15 per cent from the corresponding time last year and are on target to break the all time record set in 1994.

The average crowd 11 years ago was 15,029 before Super League came along and threatened to destroy the game of Rugby League.

ARGENTINA MAKES LEAGUE DEBUT

Argentina became the latest country to embrace Rugby League when they hosted the Australian Police national Rugby League side last month.

Despite being beaten 40-4 and 50-6 in Buenos Aires by the more experienced counterparts, Argentina laid down the foundations for a club competition to commence this year.
