Ryles out of ANZAC Test

Kangaroo prop Jason Ryles has pulled out of Friday night's Anzac rugby league test against the Kiwis with a leg injury.

Ryles broke down at training at Suncorp Stadium on Thursday morning and has been replaced on the bench by Panther, Trent Waterhouse.

Australian coach Wayne Bennett said the late change had not disrupted the Kangaroos' preparations for Friday night's clash - the first between the two countries in Brisbane in six years.

The game will be the 20th anniversary of the infamous Greg Dowling-Kevin Tamati sideline brawl which spilled into the Lang Park crowd.

A turnout of almost 40,000 is expected to watch the game which will be Darren Lockyer's first appearance as Australian captain in front of his home crowd
