Saleh's spitting case goes direct to judiciary

St George Illawarra winger Hassan Saleh has been charged with contrary conduct after being sent off for allegedly spitting at a touch judge during a Premier League match on Saturday.

It's alleged Saleh spat at the touch judge but did not hit him during his side's clash with Manly at Brookvale Oval on Saturday night.

The case has been referred directly to the judiciary and the Dragons will mount their defence on Wednesday night at a venue yet to be determined.
