Scotland Name Players of the Year

Hull Kingston Rovers winger Jon Steel has been voted Scotland?s Player of the Year 2005 by the national team's coaching staff and management. The former Glasgow and Borders rugby union star, who won the last of his five Scotland RU caps marking New Zealand?s Jonah Lomu, impressed on his Scotland Rugby League debut against Wales in the European Nations Cup and backed that up with a solid display against Ireland. He will receive the Dave Valentine Award before an upcoming Hull KR match.
