The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles were made aware of an incident last night involving Richie Fa’aoso for which he was detained by police and charged.
The incident has been reported to the NRL Integrity Unit which is investigating the matter and the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will fully cooperate with both the Police and the NRL Integrity Unit during this process.
Richie has the full support of his wife and family and is presently undergoing counselling. He will appear in Campbelltown Local Court tomorrow.
Further to this, the family has asked us to make it clear that this is not a domestic violence matter and that they be afforded some privacy at this time.
There will be no further comment made by the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles at this stage.
