Gold Coast boss Michael Searle admits he's not confident Scott Prince will join the Titans, despite the fledgling NRL club firming as favourite to sign the Test halfback.
Wests Tigers have granted permission to the Titans, North Queensland and Brisbane to negotiate with Prince, who comes off contract with the premiers at the end of this season. Speaking at the launch of the Titans jersey today, Searle said it'd be a big ask for Prince to leave the Tigers following their stunning run to premiership glory last year.
But he reckons the Titans have a duty to give it their best shot in trying to lure Prince to the Gold Coast.
The Cowboys and Broncos appear to have gone lukewarm on aggressively pursuing Prince but say they'll make a decision over the weekend. The clubs have until February 28 to detail their offers.
