Segeyaro and Jones return for Cowboys

NORTH Queensland Toyota Cowboys duo Ben Jones and James Segeyaro have been recalled for Saturday night's round 14 NRL match against Manly at Brookvale Oval.

They come in to coach Neil Henry's squad with co-captains Johnathan Thurston and Matthew Scott unavailable due to State of Origin commitments with Queensland.

Segeyaro, who was a late omission from Sunday's 40-24 win against Canberra, has played seven games in his first year as an NRL player, while Jones made two appearances for the Cowboys at the start of the season.

They have both been named on the interchange bench, with Michael Morgan joining Ray Thompson in the halves in Thurston's absence and Ashton Sims promoted to a starting front-row position with Scott missing.

Morgan made his first appearance of the season off the bench in the win against the Raiders and formerly partnered Thompson in the halves for the Cowboys' NYC team.

Both the Cowboys and Manly have 9-3 win-loss records at the halfway point of the NRL season.
