ROOKIE second-rower Tariq Sims, regarded as one of the best young players in the NRL, has extended his contract with the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys for a further three years.
Cowboys General Manager - Football Peter Parr announced the new contract with the 21-year-old today, saying the club was thrilled he had agreed to sign on until the end of the 2015 season.
Sims has been outstanding in his first season in the NRL and was a finalist in both the Second-Rower of the Year and Rookie of the Year at last night's Dally M Awards.
His original contract with the Cowboys was to the end of the 2012 season.
