Exciting young Mitsubishi Electric Bulldogs forward Sonny Bill Williams has been named in the Bulldogs Premier League team to play Newtown this weekend. Williams has been sidelined since injuring his ankle in the Bulldogs 34-8 win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs back on 26 April, 2004.
Williams has been selected in the second row to partner Jamie Feeney. The Bulldogs pack is back to full strength with Hutch Maiava, Trevor Thurling, Jamie Feeney, and Glen Hughes all returning from a stint in first grade last Sunday.
Having suffered a 36-26 loss to the Sea Eagles the Bulldogs will be pleased that they have both Williams and Johnathan Thurston back from long term injuries. Thurston made a successful return last week scoring a try and providing the Dogs with an extra option in attack.
Craig Polla-Mounter made a surprise return last week for the Bulldogs Premier League side. Polla Mounter has injured his ankle and will not play again for the Dogs.
