Parramatta assistant coach Jason Taylor will take over the role at South Sydney from next season, the NRL club announced today.
The Rabbitohs were keen for Taylor to join the club immediately, but the Eels refused to release him after recently losing defence coach Peter Sharp to Hull.
In other news at the Rabbitohs, the completion date for the Russell Crowe/Peter Holmes A Court investment into the club is now likely to take place on May 31.
