St George Illawarra halfback Jamie Soward has re-signed for a further two years, keeping him at the Dragons until the end of the 2010 NRL season.
The 23-year-old joined the Dragons midway through 2007 and has made a positive impact both on and off the field playing a total of 21 NRL games.
"It's great to have my future resolved and to know that I will be staying with the Dragons," said Soward.
"I am very grateful for the opportunity the Dragons gave me mid-last year and I have really enjoyed my time here right from day one.
"I believe that I am continually learning and improving here and will be aiming to cement a place in the halves not only for the rest of this season but for at least the next two years as well."
Soward is currently the club's leading pointscorer with 44 this season and will lead the Dragons into Saturday's clash with premiers Melbourne at ANZ Stadium.
