Storm re-signs Tohu Harris

Melbourne Storm has re-signed young gun Tohu Harris until the end of 2017.

The Hawkes Bay junior was highly sought after, following his outstanding debut year in 2013, missing just one game for the year, becoming a key component of Storm's forward pack.

Harris has started this season in the same fashion, having played in Storm's first eight games of the season and represented New Zealand in last weekend's Test match, his second time in the Kiwi jersey.

A graduate of the Club's U20's program, the 22-year old is one of the most consistent performers in Craig Bellamy's side.

His 2013 season included an appearance in Storm's World Club Challenge winning side and his international debut.

Harris was recognised for his consistent debut year at first-grade level at both the NRL Dally M's and Melbourne Storm's Player of the Year Awards. The forward was nominated for the NRL's Rookie of the Year Award and won Storm's 2013 Rookie of the Year honour following his impressive season.

Melbourne Storm Football Director Frank Ponissi expressed great delight on re-signing Harris.

"Tohu is only in his second year of first grade and has already played some outstanding footy with us, with plenty more to come. He is a player who really lets his action on the field do the talking.

"His signing is great news for Melbourne Storm for now and for the future."
