Losing World Cup coach Ricky Stuart has said sorry to the referee for verbally abusing him following Australia's defeat to New Zealand in last week's final.
But is it enough?
Stuart verbally attacked referee Ashley Klein and official Stuart Cummings in the foyer of their Brisbane hotel the morning after the Kangaroo's shock 34-20 loss to the Kiwis.
The Cronulla Sharks coach was reportedly angry over a number of decisions including video referee Steve Ganson's decision to award New Zealand a penalty try.
In expressing his "deep regret" for the incident, Stuart said his actions were "inappropriate and offensive".
Stuart still remains the subject of a Rugby League International Federation investigation.
