Super League Friday - Review

Bradford Bulls continued their charge to the top of Tetley's Rugby Super League and ended Leeds Rhinos' unbeaten run with a 48-22 win at Odsal on Friday night in front of a vocal 21784 crowd.

The Bulls extended their winning run to 13 games with a dominant eight-try romp against a disappointing Rhinos side, who trailed 38-6 after 50 minutes.

Powerhouse wingers Tevita Vaikona and Lesley Vainikolo (pictured) both scored two tries, while Danny Gartner, Paul Anderson, Robbie Paul and Karl Pratt also touched down.

Andy Farrell and Kevin Brown both ran in hat-tricks as Wigan Warriors defeated Halifax 58-12.

Wigan kept up their good form and a promise of things to come with a 58-12 romp to extend Halifax's run without a win to ten matches at The JJB Stadium.

Andy Farrell was magnificent with 30 points comprising a hat-trick of tries and nine goals, while youngster Kevin Brown also bagged a treble.

Jamie Ainscough, Paul Johnson, Terry Newton and David Hodgson also crossed, with Jaymes Chapman and Chris Birchall scoring late consolations.
