Suspended Stewart will miss Origin

Sea Eagles forward Glenn Stewart will now miss next week's State of Origin after being found guilty tonight for a dangerous throw on the Titans Mat Rogers.

The NRL judicary ruled that Stewart's lifting of Rogers by his left leg during last Sunday's match was dangerous.

Stewart was to take part in the first Origin in Melbourne as one of eight debutants for New South Wales.

The Manly backrower has already played five tests for Australia without wearing the sky blue jersey. He will now have to wait even longer for his shot.

Blues 18th man Luke Lewis will reportedly step-in to Stewart's positon while coach Craig Bellamy will name a replacement reserve by the weekend.
