Tahu's season over

The Newcastle Knights have lost Timana Tahu for the rest of the season, after news came through that he would need surgery to his injured ankle.

The Knights have the Cowboys this Sunday, and a loss may prove to be the end of their season.

"It's a real battle for a place between three or four teams all trying, like us, to gain momentum and string a couple of wins together,"

"In the case of Timana and Steve Simpson it's now like having one hand behind our backs. But it's just a matter of trying to be as healthy as we can be from now until the end." said Knights coach Michael Hagan.

This news comes only a few days after Knights second-rower Steve Simpson was ruled out for eight weeks.
