Teams wrap

Sydney Roosters half Jamie Soward has been dropped to Premier League following a poor showing in his side's NRL loss against Brisbane on Friday night. Roosters coach Ricky Stuart has named Braith Anasta and Brett Finch to start in the halves against St George Illawarra on Anzac Day, with Craig Wing named at hooker.

The Dragons welcome back Test front rower Jason Ryles from a hand injury, while 20-year-old back-rower Lee Te Maari will make his debut from the bench.

Meanwhile Penrith captain Tony Puletua has been named to play against Brisbane, despite struggling with a rib injury.

Down at Parramatta, little-known half Jeremy Smith will have the perfect platform to press his claims for New Zealand Test selection when he makes his NRL debut for the Eels against Wests Tigers on Friday night.

Despite the fact he has yet to play a top-grade game, Smith is in contention for a berth in the Anzac Test following injuries to gun five-eighth Benji Marshall and the no-availability of Stacey Jones. Kiwi coach Brian McClennan has kept tabs on the progress of the 24-year-old and has indicated he was prepared to pluck him out of Premier League if his form warranted selection.
