Thaiday given green light by Broncos

Former Test forward Sam Thaiday has been cleared to play for the Broncos in their NRL clash with Parramatta at Suncorp Stadium tonight.

Thaiday has overcome an ankle injury and will bolster a depleted Brisbane side. The Broncos are still reeling from a season ending knee injury to skipper Darren Lockyer and a hamstring complaint to Karmichael Hunt.

Thaiday has had a horror run with injury - he missed five weeks with a fractured eye socket and six with damaged ankle ligaments. Thaiday will come off the bench for Brisbane which has won five straight games.

Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett is yet to decide on whether Ian Lacey - who is battling an arm injury - will fill the final reserves spot. Kick off is at 7pm (AEST).
