The Newtown Jets trials program for 2009 gets underway when the Jets host Western Suburbs and Cronulla-Sutherland in an innovative Tri-Way Tournament at Henson Park this Saturday evening.
Each of the teams will play a total of 80 minutes football and will field around 25 players in total. Spectators will get great value for their money with two hours of top-class NSW Cup Rugby League action on display for the standard admission price, with both Wests and Cronulla sure to be fielding a number of fringe NRL selection candidates. The Tri-Way Tournament kicks off at 5.00pm this Saturday (14th February) with the Jets taking on the Magpies in the first of a total of 6 twenty-minute segments.
In the NSWRL SG Ball Cup, the Newtown Jets take on the highly-rated Bulldogs in the opening competition round on Saturday at 1.30pm, at The Crest Stadium, Bass Hill. The young Jets will be making the club
