Thompson injury update - Out for up
to 6 weeks

St.George Bank Dragons second rower Lance Thompson has been cleared of a broken ankle but will be out for up to six weeks.

Thompson, 26, has a badly sprained ankle and will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks. He was injured just before half-time in the Dragons 52-12 win over Souths at the SCG yesterday.

Winger John Carlaw has an abdominal strain and is expected to be fit for the Dragons' next game in a fortnight against the Broncos at WIN Stadium, along with Nathan Blacklock (hamstring) and Nathan Long (knee).

In other injury news, Henry Perenara (shoulder) is expected to return in round 19; and Wycliff Palu is out for six weeks with a stress fracture in his foot.
