Tigers ridicule Raiders
Benji Marshall has starred for the Tigers as they handed the Raiders a 40-0 belting in front of 9,210 fans in Caberra Stadium.
The Tigers made the best slippery conditions, while the Raiders fumbled their way through the match.
Curtis Sironen took three defenders with him over the try line in the 14th minute to claim the opening points of the match. Marshall added the extras to give the Tigers a six-point-lead.
On the back of a spate of errors from the Raiders and some Marshall magic the Tigers ran in two more converted tries in the first half and a penalty to take a 20-0 lead into the break.
After the break, the Tigers took off right where they left off, with Marshall setting Beau Ryan up for a try in only the 42nd minute following another Raiders' error.
The Tigers continued to dominate possession and field position as the Raiders shot their own feet, handing over the ball in their own danger zone.
As the half progressed, the Tigers piled on the points with Marshall creating tries for Liam Fulton and Mat Utai, while Ryan set Chris Lawrence up for his four-pointer.
The Raiders were given some good field possession, but dropped balls, and poor last tackle options saw them remain scoreless.
The Tigers will get an opportunity to take on a more in form opponent next week when they take on the Melbourne Storm. Both sides will be without their Origin stars.
As for the Raiders, they will head to Newcastle next weekend to take on an out-of-form Knights outfit.
