Tigers sneak home with late field goal against Sharks

Match Summary The Wests Tigers have defeated the Cronulla Sharks 29-28 at Toyota Park in another late season thriller.

The Sharks looked to be in a winning position with an 18-4 half time lead but the Tigers came back to score 28 unanswered points and lead 28-18 late in the match.

The Sharks, clinging to a faint hope of finals footy came back to level the scores at 28 all but the brilliance of Robbie Farah was the difference between the two sides with the crafty hooker kicking a field goal in the 80th minute to secure the win for the Tigers and a probable top eight berth.

The game had some fantastic free flowing footy from two desperate sides and the kicking in general play from Brett Seymour was a highlight of the match, as was the running of the Tigers halves.

In the end, the Tigers had the one extra point in them to lift them closer to a finals berth but for the Sharks, it was a case of what might have been as they really should have gone on to win the match after going into half time in such a dominant position.
