Titans gain key duo for Cowboys match

Key playmaking duo Scott Prince and Nathan Friend have been named to return for the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans' Round 5 clash against the North Queensland Cowboys at Dairy Farmers Stadium on Friday night.

In a boost for the Jetstar Titans following on from last weekend's spirited 23-22 golden point win over the Canberra Raiders, Prince (hamstring) and Friend (shoulder) were both today named by Jetstar Titans Coach John Cartwright in an 18-man squad to tackle the Cowboys.

Friend will play his first game for 2011 after completing a successful recovery from off-season shoulder surgery while the man who filled his boots in the opening rounds, hooker/utility Riley Brown switches to the interchange bench.

Prince was a late withdrawal from the win over the Raiders after suffering a hamstring injury in the team's final training session before the match but it is hoped he will be fit to return against his former club on Friday night.

In other team changes, livewire Luke Capewell will replace Greg Bird at five-eighth after he incurred a one-match suspension for a Grade 1 striking charge out of the Raiders game while utility Luke O'Dwyer has been named on a five-man interchange bench.

Cartwright said although Bird would be missed this weekend, Capewell had impressed in two matches for feeder club the Ipswich Jets in the Queensland Cup over the past fortnight.
