Titans re-sign Gold Coast juniors
The Jetstar Gold Coast Titans have retained two Gold Coast juniors for the future, with centre Steve Michaels and playmaker Jordan Rankin today re-signing with the club.
Mudgeeraba Redbacks junior Michaels, 24, has signed a new three-year contract until the end of the 2015 season, while Burleigh Bears junior and Under-20s graduate Rankin, 20, has agreed to a new two-year contract for seasons 2013-14.
The retention of the pair ensures the majority of the class of 2012 will remain together for next season and beyond with the addition of high-profile signing David Taylor from 2013.
Michaels has scored 40 career tries in 101 NRL matches to date and has developed a cult following in 42 games for the Titans since joining the club from the Brisbane Broncos midway through the 2010 season.
Rankin has played 15 NRL matches for the Titans - 14 of those over the past two seasons - since making his debut for the club as a 16-year-old in 2008.
