Trial update - Roosters, Tigers, Manly

The Sydney Roosters have rushed State of Origin stars Craig Wing and Chris Flannery into their squad for tomorrow night's inaugural Foundation Cup match against the Wests Tigers.

Halfback Josh Lewis (shoulder) and lock Adam Schubert (knee) are out of the Aussie Stadium trial, with Flannery to start at No.13 and Wing to come on to the bench. Hooker Wing says he's glad to be getting some match time.

At the Wests Tigers, second-rower Ben Galea has pulled out of the inaugural Foundation Cup match against the Sydney Roosters at Aussie Stadium tomorrow night. Galea has a hamstring strain and as a precaution will miss the game.

He will be replaced by Bronson Harrison, who has overcome a hamstring injury himself to be fit for the game.

Meanwhile, Manly will wear green jerseys for next week's trial match against Melbourne on the Sunshine Coast under a new arrangement with EnergyAustralia.

The Sea Eagles have announced a deal worth up to $500,000 with the power company to cut greenhouse emissions from Brookvale Oval this season by purchasing renewable energy. The arrangement could save up to 200 tonnes of greenhouse emissions and is the first of its kind for the NRL.

Manly chief executive Grant Meyer hopes other clubs will follow the Sea Eagles' example and look at ways to help create a sustainable environment. Meyer, however, assures Sea Eagles fans the maroon and white jerseys will return for the regular season.
