Tuesday's Expert - NRL 2013 Round 24

We look back at the 24th round of the 2013 NRL Premiership, and see how the Player of the Year standings are tracking. Also features a look at the ladder after the weekend's games.

Logjam! The number 24 became important this weekend, with no fewer than five teams fighting for eighth spot now sitting on that many competition points. Of those five sides, it's the North Queensland Cowboys with the upper-hand. Their for-and-against is far greater than the remaining clubs and will serve them well if the logjam continues over the next fortnight. The battle at the top also heated up with the Rabbitohs continuing their form resurgence after defeating Canterbury, whereas the Roosters stumbled in Monday night footy to the Sharks. Speaking of Cronulla, they now jump to fifth with that victory. At the foot of the table the Wests Tigers jumped a place with a defeat of the Dragons at the SCG, while Parramatta remained bolted to the foot of the table after copping a 64-4 hiding from heavyweight contenders Melbourne.

Below you'll find the results, player of the match points and match details for each fixture, plus a look at the NRL ladder after Round 24.
