Round 1 produced some surprising results, with the Newcastle Knights and Parramatta Eels surging to the top of the table with 30+ point victories over an unimpressive Wests Tigers and New Zealand Warriors respectively.

At the top of the table we still have the Melbourne Storm and South Sydney Rabbitohs, both sides undefeated after the first four weeks. The Sydney Roosters continued their rise up the table with their third consecutive win, while the Parramatta Eels sunk to 13th and the Raiders to last after the Warriors kicked off their 2013 campaign.
