Tuesday's Expert Wrap - NRL Round 9

We've arrived at the end of the Round 9 of the 2014 National Rugby League Telstra Premiership! Check out all the results, reports and player of the year points right here.

The NRL returned to our screens and the field and it certainly looks like it was a round that sorted the wheat from the chaff. Reigning premiers the Sydney Roosters thumped the Wests Tigers on Friday night, while the Cowboys put the Broncos in their place up in Townsville. The Warriors flexed their muscle against a hapless Canberra on Saturday, while the Rabbitohs scored an emphatic win over Gold Coast as well. Super Saturday wrapped up with Melbourne pipping Manly at the post.

Sunday saw the Panthers demoralise a poor Newcastle Knights outfit before the Bulldogs ran similar rings around arch-rivals the Dragons to maintain their lofty perch at the top of the NRL table. Monday night saw the Eels stave off a competitive Sharks outfit and consign the Shire men to the bottom of the ladder.
