Summary: The North Sydney Bears can take another step towards a Minor Premiership here with a win against what should be a desperate Newtown outfit. A victory for the Bears will see them move to 34 competition points, and with just three rounds remaining, including two clashes with sides currently not inside the top eight, the Bears would almost certainly look to wrap up a top two finish at the very least.

Standing in their way though is a Jets side that despite sitting in sixth place is still yet to be assured of their place in the 2012 Finals Series. One positive for the Jets is their reasonably good for and against (+153), which may well prove to be vital given the closeness of this year
