Villasanti back in Warriors
line-up

Kangaroo front-rower Richard Villasanti has been cleared to return to action in the Vodafone Warriors team named today by Daniel Anderson to take on the Manly Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval this Sunday afternoon.

Villasanti suffered an injury to the knee of his left leg during the club?s pre-season training program and is yet to take part in any of the club?s trial or NRL matches. His return complements the comeback last week of the Warriors? other regular starting prop, Jerry Seuseu.

Second-rower Ali Lauitiiti and utility back Tony Martin also return to the side, having missed last week?s match against Penrith. Lautiiti was sidelined with a serious case of concussion resulting from the second round against the Dragons, whilst Martin suffered a hip injury in the same game.

The return of Villasanti to the side?s starting line-up brings a familiar look to Head Coach Daniel Anderson?s forward pack. ?Richard?s return to our squad re-unites the club?s regular starting front-rowers for the first time this year. In addition to this, Ali and Tony?s availability for selection sees a very important trio of our senior players back on the field for this game against Manly,? Anderson said.

This in no way takes away from the contribution of the younger players that have come into the squad recently, Anderson was quick to add. ?The form of the local juniors who have had to step up to NRL level in recent weeks has been most encouraging. The effort and performances delivered by Jerome Ropati, Epalahame Lauaki and Louis Anderson have seen them retain their places for this important match,? Anderson added.

The team for this Sunday?s game against the Sea Eagles, with kick-off at 3pm (Sydney time) at Brookvale Oval is:

1. Brent Webb 2. Henry Fa?afili 3. Tony Martin 4. Clinton Toopi 5. Francis Meli 6. Jerome Ropati 7. Stacey Jones 8. Jerry Seuseu 9. Tevita Latu 10. Richard Villasanti 11. Ali Lauitiiti 12. Awen Guttenbeil (Captain) 13. Sione Faumuina 14. Epalahame Lauaki 15. Danny Sullivan 16. Karl Temata 17. Justin Murphy 20. Matthew Jobson 21. Louis Anderson

Coach Anderson has again named an extended bench will be pruned to the four fresh reserves allowed closer to kick-off.

The team will travel to Sydney on Friday.
