Walker to
trial with Titans

Gold Coast coach John Cartwright says the Titans are giving former Queensland Origin centre Chris Walker his last chance to play in the NRL.

26-year-old Walker started training with the Titans' part-time squad today and will trial for a contract during pre-season matches in February. Cartwright is assuming defiant winger Steve Turner won't join the fledgling club and says Walker will provide more depth in the backs.

Walker has earned an unwanted reputation as a rugby league bad boy but it is hoped the relaxed Gold Coast lifestyle and a stable home life has reformed him.
